T-Mobile LG V10 awaits Android Marshmallow

LG is currently in the process of working with all of its partner carriers to update G3 and G4 phones to Android 6.0 over the past couple of months. The company’s latest premium smartphone launched on T-Mobile on October 30 — 25 days after the original Android Marshmallow images hit Nexus devices — with Android 5.1.1.

We assumed, but had no guarantee that the V10 would eventually get the upgrade. But T-Mobile has confirmed that it and LG and starting the process for the device. The V10, along with the G3, G4 and G Stylo are in T-Mobile’s Android Marshmallow update stable.

No push deadlines on these four machines just yet.

AT&T and Verizon V10 units remain at Android 5.1.1 at the moment. Verizon phones got a bug patch as late as two weeks ago.

Sprint didn’t get the V10, but it has a great track record of Marshmallow updates for LG devices.
