When the 64GB versions of a device cost more than a 128GB version, you know there’s something good going on. But as we have the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book out right now and presumably another consumer-grade Surface convertible tablet on the way, we may be looking at what we call “expensive model housecleaning.”
Both SKUs of the 128GB Surface 3 (with 4GB RAM) have had their prices cut by $150, resulting in a $50 undercut from comparable 64GB models. The Wi-Fi only edition stands at $449 and the LTE edition comes up to $549 at the Microsoft Store. Best Buy is offering the Wi-Fi only version at $449.99.
The Surface Pro 3 is on $100 discount from both outlets.
