It probably feels a little early in Lumia 950 XL’s tumultuous life cycle for an “all-time low price” to mean as much as it sounds, but given the reported demand – supply inequality, it’s a miracle you can get the Windows 10 phablet at any sort of discount stateside.
Redmond typically charges $650 for the unlocked Snapdragon 810 powerhouse, and can’t currently commit to a delivery date for recent orders or take new ones. Meanwhile, import specialist and bargain champion Expansys USA lets you pick up the phone in a single SIM RM-1085 configuration at $565, lacking local stock at the moment, but promising fairly speedy shipping starting at an additional 5 bucks.
Any catches to note or strings attached? Just one – there’s no mention of a manufacturer-issued warranty, so most likely, the retailer will have you covered for a measly six months. Also, it’s unclear whether 950 XL units purchased outside Microsoft’s own stores qualify for free Display Docks. But probably not.
Still, if you don’t plan on using your handheld as a PC, this deal looks awfully sweet on paper for folks not afraid to further beta test the unpolished Windows 10 Mobile OS. Both the white and black models are on sale, and they’re fully compatible with GSM carriers like AT&T or T-Mobile, including on LTE standards. Hurry though, as quantities will soon run out. Trust us on that.
