The iPhone 7 headphone jack is non-existent, says parts source

It’s the rumor that won’t die for the next iPhone everyone’s looking forward to. Will the iPhone 7 have a 3.5mm headphone jack or won’t it? If so, will Apple provide Lightning connector headphones? Bluetooth even? Maybe just an adapter? Or will we, the consumers, have to pay up for some Beats or something?

Someone within a Chinese parts supplier for Apple supposedly has the answer to our main question: yes, the headphone jack is gone. The bet is that wireless EarPods will be the way forward in terms of bundling an in-ear audio option in the box.

Another source attempts to confirm that Lightning-connector headphones will be a thing, but would defer to wireless solutions.
