Samsung Pay seeps online for the US in 2016

Google used to provide an integrated payments solution for mobile and virtual use. Not so much anymore. The split-up of the Wallet app for networking your money around to friends and vendors and the Android Pay app for in-person tab-paying taps and in-app purchases has been a disappointment for some and a sensical move for others.

If you’re in the former camp and have one of the four Samsung smartphone flagship models of this year, you might be in luck. The company expects to expand its Samsung Pay scheme to online outlets.

We do not know which merchants have signed on to accepting Samsung Pay online.

The company also vaguely recommitted to expanding the device lineup that will feature Samsung Pay.
