Microsoft claims that Surface Book orders have been “huge”
Even though Microsoft has tried to prove itself in the hardware business for quite some time, the company’s first couple of years saw it struggle to find a market, no matter how cool these products were. It wasn’t until the Surface Pro 3 got launched that Redmond really found wide acceptance from consumers, and it was hard not to as the company did a tremendous job with the product. Today it’s all about the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, which all did a great job at wowing us, and even consumers as well according to Microsoft
Wired recently did a behind-the-scenes profile on Panos Panay, and obviously it had mostly to do with his hot new Surface tablets. The Surface Book went on sale today and Panay claims that pre-orders have been “huge,” up to the point where the company is selling them faster than it can make them. Panay calls the Surface Book the ultimate laptop, and even shared how much of a wow factor it was to actually share the product with Satya Nadella, other Microsoft executives, and even retail partners.
So far the Surface Book has gained a ton of fame for its performance when compared to Apple’s existing Pro products. We can’t wait to report on it further as our review process begins, and also when official numbers begin to arrive.
