Analysts scramble over Apple Watch sales estimates
It’s definitely not like Apple to not boast over the sales figures of a particular product, meaning that if this is the case, then the product is most likely not as successful as Cupertino desired it to be. Such is the case of the Apple Watch where Apple has been reluctant to provide sales figures ever since the product was launched. Obviously analysts have to do their job in predicting what was sold in order to provide insight for investors, but even that has proven to be a problem.
If you check the recent analyst figures for how many Apple Watch units were sold during the quarter, you’d be amazed at the level of disparity that there is. While some analysts have given conservative figures that claim that Apple has only sold 2.5 million units, we have other analysts that are claiming a crazy 6 million units for the same period of time. Bare in mind we’re talking wearables here, where every other competitor to Apple hasn’t even sold a million units of any product launched.
The reason why this is so important is because we’re just a week away from Apple’s quarter results call. This is definitely going to be an interesting one.
