Facebook working on fixing app battery drain on iOS 9

Surely iPhones aren’t at all famous for battery life, but ever since the launch of iOS 9, complaints seem to be on a rise. At first many believed that this was just the normal thing with iPhones, but obviously you can’t ignore the fact that the amount of third party apps in the background could take a toll. As it turns out it seems that a few iOS 9 updates ended up being more problematic than expected and today we learn of one of them.

Facebook’s iOS 9 update seems to be rather problematic with battery life, not just because there are bugs that drain the battery, but because it’s really hard to switch off. Users complain that even if you close the app through multi-tasking, somehow the app finds its way back to running in the background and killing your battery all over again. So far the only solution found by some is to actually delete the app, which might have the positive effect of saving you from Candy Crush invites.

Facebook has already acknowledged the issue and claims to be working on it. Let’s see how soon we see a solution.
