Apple announces record iPhone 6s opening weekend
Apple’s success can be easily measured if we were to separate the company’s numbers before the iPhone, and after. Ever since the launch of the first-generation smartphone, the company who once affirmed it was only after selling a million units, has clearly proven that it found the right mix for success in the market. Sales numbers have grown dramatically ever since, and today we get details on its latest lineup.
Apple has just issued a statement confirming its sales performance for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus over the opening weekend. Cupertino affirms that it was able to sell 13 million units in just the first few days of its new smartphone lineup, a new record when compared to the 10 million units it was able to sell last year, which even then, was another record the company broke when compared to the previous 3 million units a year prior. Apple saldy continues to avoid providing any breakdowns of how many products of each model were sold, but it was adamant to remind us that the iPhone 6s will expand sales to other countries on October 9.
