Leaks bring new twist to rose gold iPhone 6s, Force Touch, and sapphire options

The closer we get to Apple’s September 9 event, the more credible leaks get on the iPhone 6s. We’ve heard rumors teasing the iPhone 6s in a rose gold variant, and we’ve also heard rumors dismissing them. There have also been strong hints to Force Touch technology, in addition to the possibility of a sapphire display option.

Sources today claim that the rose gold iPhone 6s will exist, and will be the only hint that you’re actually carrying the newer iPhone. It’ll resemble the same copper-like color tone of the rose gold Apple Watch, though obviously made of anodized aluminum. Force Touch is also mentioned again, and still hinting to new short cuts to ease your interaction with iOS, but this time we hear that it’ll sport a different name, for reasons not specified. The rumors end by hinting that there won’t be sapphire options for this iPhone 6s, something that makes sense given the complaints of dim Apple Watch displays due to this technology.

September 9 is the date that should be on your calendars. We’ll follow up as we learn more.
