iPhone 6s might borrow some Apple Watch motion wallpapers

For those of you that have forgotten, Apple is that company that spent 3 generations of its mobile operating system without a wallpaper for the icons. The fact that Apple decided to take a leap forward and allow dynamic wallpapers with iOS 7 was huge by Cupertino standards. We’ve seen an even broader approach from the company with the Apple Watch, and today it seems it won’t stop there.

Insider sources that claim to have already used the iPhone 6s claim that Apple will bring motion wallpapers to the new smartphone lineup, in a similar fashion to what we see in the Apple Watch. The source claims that we might see the same options for moving jellyfish, multi-colored butterflies, bright flowers, a gold koi pond fish, and possibly even animated smoke. We’re not sure if this will be a feature exclusive to the iPhone 6s Plus, but recent leaks do point to that probability. The last iOS 9 beta surprised us with a bevy of new iPhone wallpapers, so it does make sense for this to receive an update as well.

Apple is set to announce its new line of iPhones on September 9, along with a new Apple TV.
