Among all the recent rumors and leaks of a future possible LG Nexus, the South Korean phone manufacturer announced that it will introduce a new offering this month. The LG music service will bring HI-Fi content for customers of its premium smartphones, through the company’s own LG SmartWorld app.

The new LG music service will be available only on certain LG phones, as well as online at www.lgworld.com. Customers in around 70 countries –including the United States, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Russia and the United Kingdom– will be able to enjoy 24bit/192kHz recorded HI-FI audio content. Said content will be available for purchase at up to 50 percent off the regular price, in addition to the possibility of getting two free Hi-Fi tracks each month. The LG G4, G3, G2 and G Flex 2 are mentioned as devices capable of playing back 24bit audio.

Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customers. MP3 music is perfectly fine for most people but those with Hi-Fi capable LG smartphones can experience a much richer environment”, said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company.
