There are four more days until the August 13 event when Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in New York. So far, these two devices were among the most heavily leaked once, but whether that’s accidental, or on purpose, is anyone’s guess. After taking several close looks at the Galaxy Note 5 over the course of the past few weeks, we are now treated with another set of images; this time we’re most probably looking at final hardware, as the pictures are claimed to originate from a meeting where a company representative showed off the Galaxy Note 5, and S6 Edge Plus, at a retail location.
Complementing the pictures of the device you see above and below, there is also information based on hands-on experience, pertaining to the in-hand feel, but also regarding the lack of microSD card slot, 32GB storage on the base model, and the push-to-eject S-Pen mechanism. One point of emphasis is the rounded back of the Galaxy Note 5, which makes the device feel a lot smaller in hand than it actually is. You can also find a set of pictures below showing off the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, in addition to a picture showing both upcoming Samsung phones next to each other for thickness comparison.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the post, you will see two images that are claimed to represent the retail packaging of the Galaxy Note 5. The box is nothing special, and is identical to the boxes the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge phones come in. The back of the box reveals the specs, which we already know by now: 64bit Octa Core Processor (most likely Exynos 7420 or 7422), 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 16MP OIS camera (probably same as on the S6/Edge), wireless charging capabilities, and the 5.7-inch Quad HD screen.
Here’s the huge set of pictures:
