Apple speaks out about the recent MVNO rumors

Apple is not only famous for being a very conservative company, but also for changing its mind all the time. This same company that didn’t want to build a bigger iPhone or a smaller iPad, has clearly not delivered on its word. We recently heard rumors that Cupertino was working on its own MVNO service, and today we get official news on the matter.

Apple has just issued a statement denying the recent rumors that it will be launching its own MVNO service. In the statement, Cupertino declares that: “We have not discussed nor do we have any plans to launch an MVNO,” said an Apple spokeswoman. The important twist is that even with Apple’s denial, the company does own a few patents that would allow it to do so. Given Apple’s level of financial stability, and the competition of Google’s Project Fi, it’s hard to simply believe this statement.

Whatever the case may be, we could still be far from learning if it works.
