LG introduces G4 Stylus and G4c, new smartphones in the G4 line-up

Continuing onward with the unveil of its 2015 G4-series devices, LG today is announcing two new smartphones into its mid-range portfolio – the LG G4 Stylus, and the G4c. Neither match the power and capability that the G4 features (which you can learn more about in our review of that device), but they do feature a similar design and the same signature LG features we’ve grown to expect from a smartphone from the company.

Let’s address first the G4 Stylus. We should clear one thing up first. If you’re in North America, everything to do with the G4 Stylus will actually be referred to as the “G Stylo” – LG’s branding nightmare continues onward with these phones, too. This one has a 5.7-inch HD (720p) display, and features an LG Rubberdium stylus. It has 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of micro-SD expandable ROM, a rear 8 or 13MP camera (depending on whether you have the 3G or LTE model), and a 3,000 mAh battery.

The G4c is the smaller of the two, coming in at 5 inches on the display diagonal. You won’t receive the stylus with this model. The display is 720p still, though the camera drops to 8MP standard and the battery falls to 2,540 mAh.

There will be various configurations of the phone launching around the world; LG is looking to push sales hard of these mid-range smartphones. Pricing and availability details are forthcoming.
