AMD’s CEO just leaked the final Windows 10 launch date
Microsoft hasn’t had much fame over the last couple of years for its timeliness in launching products, and well, we don’t blame them for switching CEOs to fix that, among other things. The new Microsoft we’ve seen over the last few months has launched a bevy of products for multiple platforms, even though we do know that one of their main focus points is Windows 10. Redmond did tease a launch to happen in the summer, but if you wanted an exact month, we hear it today.
AMD’s is one of Microsoft’s biggest partners and the company’s CEO, Lisa Su, has just confirmed that we should expect Windows 10 by the end of July in an earnings call. According to the transcript:
“With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.”
So yes, Microsoft is gearing up to make some back-to-school buzz with the launch of its new OS on the new hardware students will be acquiring during the season. Keep in mind that this is not an official Microsoft statement regarding the launch, but we doubt things will change much going forward.
