Apple may build a new 4-inch iPhone in 2015
We all know that one size doesn’t fit all, and Apple clearly knew that as well with the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Cupertino acknowledged early on that the market demanded a bigger iPhone, but it also knew that there was another crowd that demanded a phablet. Still, we know that there are people that value one-handed usability, and for them Apple decided to leave the aging iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, and it seems there are plans for that to continue.
Reports claim that Apple is already working on building a new iPhone that retains the dimensions of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in 2015. No specifics were provided on design, but we do know that the display will remain of 4-inches in order to cater for those that still value one-handed usability. At the moment, choosing between an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 5s can be difficult, mainly because there aren’t significant performance differences.
We’re still a full year away from Apple’s smartphone announces, and given Cupertino’s track record for testing products it never launches, this story could come to an abrupt end early next year. That said, if Apple figures out a way to launch three iPhones that are only different in their size, we might be looking at a new success story for next year.
