iOS App Store downloads up to an all-time high

Apple has broken a significant amount of records since the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. We saw how the company sold its fare share of phones in just the first few days of the launch, and obviously this leap also includes an extra share of growth for the company in its services. Apple may not be too happy with its current iTunes performance, but the App Store shows a different story.

We still don’t have any official data from Apple, but App marketing firm Fiksu has just revealed its numbers for the last couple of months. According to the study conducted through October on the top 200 free apps of the App Store, downloads are up a staggering 42%, which represents an all time high for the company. At a time when we’ve seen competitors struggle with smartphone sales, it’s clear that most of these customers have drifted to giving bigger iPhones a try, and this makes the app download grown logical.

Apple has been up to a very successful year, even though we still haven’t heard about its possible iPad sales. Let’s see how things stack up as the company enters a new year of challenges.
