HTC One M8 Eye rumors predict 13MP Duo-Camera setup
The “Eye”-codenamed upcoming HTC device is still a mystery. Depending on who you tend to believe, it’s all about either the front-facing camera — for a brand new “selfie” phone, like we didn’t have enough of those already — or, like this most recent report claims, about the main camera. In any case, the consensus is that the “Eye” tentative moniker describes some sort of camera functionality.
Today’s HTC One M8 Eye rumors try to predict several things: first off, we’re seeing the phone being “placed” in the One M8 family, where the original One M8, and the newcomer, the One M8 running Windows Phone already reside. If that’s the case, we should expect a similar look and feel. Second, we should see HTC drop the four-megapixel “UltraPixel” setup from the One M7 and One M8, and, instead, we should prepare for a 13 megapixel Duo-Camera setup. HTC is no a stranger to this particular setup, as the HTC Butterfly 2, another variant of the M8 (though waterproof and confined to specific markets in Asia and Pacific), is already rocking that.
Last, but not least, we should expect this phone to land sometime next month, with Android 4.4.4 on-board, on top of which HTC slapped version 6.0 of its own Sense user interface.
We’ll of course let you know more as soon as we find out. For now, keep your drain of salt close, as there’s no way in verifying these rumors.
