On August 27, Samsung announced the Gear S, a smartwatch we’re expecting to meet in person at the upcoming IFA 2014, a smartwatch that supports 3G on your wrist, with the help of a SIM card slot. The two-inch curved Super AMOLED display give it a unique touch, while the smartwatch itself comes with a flexible band out of the box.
However, today Samsung announced an extension of its partnership with Swarovski, for the “Swarovski for Samsung” collection, which now contains the newly announced Gear S. It’s about a Gear S strap, for those of you who love your bling-blings visible; you can now not only have a shiny phone, but also a shiny watch to go with it. You’ll be able to grab the special strap on the Samsung online store, and at experience stores, starting in October.
There’s an interesting bit in the press release as well: “Samsung’s next flagship device” (take your guess, ours is the Galaxy Note 4, expected to make an appearance at IFA) will also soon have back covers that will contain Swarovski crystals. We’re guessing the ladies will appreciate more both of the above, but you never know.
