We’re looking forward to Motorola’s next flagship (which is probably going to be named Moto X+1) launching later in the summer, so it’s inevitable that details will start leaking out of the company as we head closer to the unveiling. The latest leak comes in the way of a Moto X+1 benchmark, which also gives us a look at some of the handset’s internals.
While we’re unsure if this is the X+1, a new DROID, or something entirely different, it’s a Motorola device: the XT1097 model number reported by Geekbench drives that point home.
The processor is outed in this benchmark as being a Qualcomm MSM8974, which could signify one of two things. Since both the Snapdragon 800 and 801 rely on the same model number, this one’s probably an 801 since it tops out at 2.5 GHz instead of 2.3. The device is also listed as having 2GB of RAM, though no other specs are outed.
As far as the Geekbench score, this device scores a single-core 998 and a multi-core 2860 — when compared to other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S5 (933 / 2820), this phone definitely shows itself as a competitor.
Now, Motorola, could you hurry up and release the thing?
