Galaxy S5, Droid MAXX and others get Verizon’s Push to Talk Plus

For those of you that thought that Push to talk was dead, well it is, and it isn’t. At times when users are sticking to services like Voxer, or even Whatsapp’s voice messaging, it’s hard for these decade-old services to survive. Still, we know that Verizon is reluctant to let it die, and the company is now pushing it to more handsets, in its own way.
Verizon’s Push to Talk Plus is still “a thing” on Verizon, and the company has decided to make this service available to flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5, in addition to other legacy devices like the Motorola Droid MAXX. There are some cool features about this service, like for example “Talker Priority,” which allows for a group leader to take over a call, and “Late Join,” which allows a caller to access a call late.
If you’re interested in the service, it’ll cost you just $5 a month, though if you hurry, you might be eligible to a Verizon deal that’s giving this service away for the first six months.
