Despite the insane amount of similarity between the exiting Galaxy S 4 and the new Galaxy S5, that doesn’t change the fact that Samsung has once again take the world by storm. Samsung’s new Galaxy has proven to be just as popular as before, and it has also gained some praise for its performance. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that there’s also room for improvement with any product made by man, and as such, the company has just pushed out a software update with performance improvements.
This software update is currently applicable to the International Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F), and it arrives in two updates, one of 194MB and the other of 1MB. Once you apply both updates you should be left with software version XXU1ANG2, though don’t get your hopes up, as you’ll still be running Android 4.4.2.
It’s hard to tell exactly what improvements you’ll find, but there are reports of some minor speed bumps in certain services here and there, even though the Galaxy S5 was never a slouch. We’ll keep an eye on this update reaching US carrier models and report back.
