It’s hard to not admit that Microsoft has scored a hit with its Surface Pro 3. There are still some of us that are mixed between loving it, hating it and just getting used to it, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a powerful tablet, that’s well designed, and aggressively priced for all it can do. If you’re wondering just how well it’s selling, Microsoft has just decided to shed some light on the topic.
Microsoft’s Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood just came on record to state that the Surface Pro 3 is already outpacing earlier Surface Pro models. Hood was sadly not specific on sales figures, but we do know that the Surface division alone brought the company $409 million in revenue, which is definitely a very decent figure these days.
At times when products like the iPad continue to drop in popularity, it seems that this is Microsoft’s chance to leave a dent with its Surface offerings. Hopefully that is the case after a couple of years struggling.
