Motorola is still on a roll when it comes to Android updates, as it’s quickly rolled out an Android 4.4.4 update to the Droid family of devices and has now moved on to send out soak test invites for Verizon Moto X and G owners enrolled in the Motorola Feedback Network (MFN). What exactly is new in this Verizon Moto X and G soak test? Let’s find out.
First and foremost is Android 4.4.4, which just brings a ton of patches and bug fixes over the build currently found on both phones. In the Moto G soak test changelog however, there are a few things that aren’t a part of Android 4.4.4 (though they were part of the Droid family’s update).
Namely, those are mainly improvements to the device’s shooter — there’s now improved camera picture quality and the ability to pause video recordings. There’s also an improved dialer with “usability improvements.”
Right now this is just a soak test, so it can be anywhere between a few hours and a few days from now before the updates start rolling to the general public. We’ll be sure to let you know when that day comes, of course.
