Talon Twitter client updated with refreshed look for Android L
Talon has quickly become one of the most popular Twitter clients on Android, and it’s managed to stay consistent with the OS’s design guidelines really well for the most part. Today in a new preview version of the app we’re taking a look at Talon Android L support — meaning, the app has been redone to show off the new Material Design.
Two main things have been redesigned — the tweet viewer and the timeline. You can take a look at both above, and get a feel for how Material Design encompasses the whole new app. Things such as the color of the notification bar and the positioning of the “New tweet” button give away that this is most definitely an app for Android L.
Because building Android L apps automatically sets the minimum OS requirement as L, the developer cannot update the main app just yet (not to mention, this one’s a bit buggier than the regular one). If you are running Android L, you can take a peek at the app in its current state through an APK the developer’s made available, made available for download at the source link.
The developer asks for no feedback on the app, as it’s just a preview to show off what is to come, but it is certainly looking fresh.
