ZTE hasn’t gained much fame in the United States yet, and that could be due to its strategy. At the moment the company has tailored its offerings to the mid-tier market, and has completely ignored the craving most of us have for flagship products, though that could change very soon. The company is apparently working on something big, and aside from big it’s also good looking.
Leaked photos show us a new ZTE Nubia Z7 in the works, and this is more than just a thin and good-looking device. Rumors point to this phone offering some flagship specifications, sporting a probable 5.5-inch full-HD screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 or 805 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera, 2 MP front camera, LTE (TD-LTE) connectivity and dual-SIM card slots. The dual-SIM slots could point to a device that won’t initially be available in the United States, though we’ve seen many cases of variants that eventually cross the pond.
The rumor mentions that this device should be announced some time this week, though given ZTE’s commanding presence in China, again this could be just an Asian launch for now. We’ll definitely keep an eye on this device in the future, as its design is quite compelling.
