One of the traditions of Google I/O is to share statistics on Android saturation, and Google’s Sundar Pichai has delivered today. He has shared interesting stats such as steps taken, and apps installed by Android users. Check these revised Android usage numbers out below.
Android users take 1.4 trillion steps a day — yes, trillion — and there are more than one billion Android users who have been active in the last 30 days. Key stats on tablets were also shared. Market share for Android tablets is now at 62%, up from last year’s 46%.
Android has seen pretty impressive growth on all fronts, and these Android usage numbers are simply a testament of that. Google I/O 2014 is still well underway, with the keynote still live, so stay tuned to Pocketnow as we’ll be posting more information as we learn of it.
