The Android 4.4.4 update has just been made official, though Android 4.4.3 remains young — it only came out last week, after all. The latest device to be updated to this no-longer-newest version of Android is Sprint’s Motorola Moto X. The features in Android 4.4.3, along with a couple extra Motorola goodies, have all made their way to the device in the Sprint Moto X Android 4.4.3 update.
First and foremost are the Android 4.4.3 changes, which are mainly bug fixes for stability, security, and other non-user-facing areas. The refreshed look in the Dialer app has been brought over to the Sprint Moto X, but apart from that there aren’t any other UI tweaks to eye.
With that aside, there are a couple other goodies from Motorola — namely, within the camera. Image quality has been improved (better exposure consistency, tweaks to the flash, and improved low light ability are to be found within the update). You can also now pause video recordings with a “convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.”
The Sprint Moto X Android 4.4.3 update is rolling out in waves with the build number KXA21.12-L1.22. When your device is given the green light to download it, you’ll be given a notification. At that point in time, you can begin feeling jealous of Android 4.4.4-toting Nexus owners.
