Microsoft Mobile, since hey, we can’t really call it Nokia any more, is still hard at work with its transition to Redmond. Still the division is hard at work in making its Nokia offering something that speaks more of Windows Phone, and not necessarily the Nokia branding as a separate entity. Some updates that were pushed today could prove that there is more work happening in this effort, though we can’t deny that it is confusing.
Microsoft Mobile has just pushed updates to a lot of services that are dug within “Settings” on Windows Phone devices. Obviously this is exclusive to Lumia devices, and the update is focused on services like “Extras + Info, Call + SMS Filter, Device Hub and Display”. The reason why these updates are a tad confusing is because there is no release log to clarify what changed. Aside from some minor changes in aesthetics, the only thing we can notice is that the option to send feedback to Nokia was removed.
We’re still weeks away from an official launch of Windows Phone 8.1, but we’ll definitely keep a look-out for whatever cool changes Microsoft Mobile might bring to the table going forward. Hopefully these updates will be clarified later today, and we’ll update this post when that happens.
