Those of you who bought the Galaxy S5, we’re sorry to say that you no longer own Samsung’s most powerful smartphone. The Galaxy S5 LTE-A, which leaked out just recently, is now reportedly official.

The S5 LTE-A upgrades a bunch of specs a lot of us felt Samsung fell short on with the original S5 — the processor, screen resolution, and RAM allocation have all been given significant upgrades.

Let’s run down the specs. The same 16MP rear-facing camera is employed by Samsung for the S5 LTE-A, coupled with a 2MP front-facing companion. The 2800 mAh battery is also carried over from the S5, as is the screen size at 5.1 inches. Speaking of the screen, the resolution is now 2560×1440, bringing it in line with the LG G3, Vivo Xplay 3S, and others. A Snapdragon 805 processor is used to be able to connect to South Korea’s high-speed data networks, clocked at 2.5 GHz. This comes with an Adreno 420 GPU.

3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (with microSD expansion up to 128GB) round out the high-end package, leaving us impressed. IP67 water and dust resistance certification can be found on the S5 LTE-A, as can Android 4.4, KitKat, with a healthy dose of TouchWiz atop it.

We aren’t sure if this is the rumored Galaxy F / Galaxy S5 Prime, but it certainly looks exactly like what we expect that model to be.

The S5 LTE-A will be available later this week in South Korean markets, and will likely be staying out of the United States outside of imports. The listed color options as of launch are Charcoal Black, Shimmer White, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, Sweet Pink, and Glam Red. It will cost 940,500 won ($919) on SK Telecom, with other South Korean carriers coming shortly afterward.

Note: As we have not received a press release on the S5 LTE-A at this time, we are going with what SamMobile has to say.

Update: Droid Life has posted a press release. It’s official, folks.
