Sony teases its Xperia Z2 launching on a US carrier once again

Sony is quite famous lately for its Xperia line-up, and specially the Sony Xperia Z2 that we just reviewed. The company has done a marvelous job in improving on all the things we missed on the Z1 with this new smartphone, though not all is fun and games. The fact that you can’t really buy this phone in the US unless you go for it unlocked is quite unfortunate, though Sony seems to be hard-at-work to change that.

We’ve seen some leaked images lately that point to the Sony Xperia Z2 being launched in Verizon lately, though its hard to even call these leaks, as most of these have come directly from Sony. It’s clear that the Japanese giant understands how bad of a business it is to ignore the US market in its strategy last year, and proof of that is that the company has posted yet another photo of the Xperia Z2 sporting a Verizon logo.

Sadly the leaked shot doesn’t give us a clear idea on a launch date, nor is this a promise that it will happen, but we can only dream. Yes, the source link is now broken as Sony has pulled it, but we can confirm that it was there at the time of building this post.
