Apple’s next flagship, what we’ve been referring to as the iPhone 6, has been hotly anticipated throughout multiple leaks. What somehow hasn’t managed to leak up until now is that this phone may feature a QHD display, just as the LG G3 does. Taiwanese actor Jimmy Lin, known for his early leak of the iPhone 5c last year, has posted an image to Weibo showing off what’s allegedly a live iPhone 6 model, compared to the iPhone 5s.
Though we can’t say for sure whether Lin’s model is indeed authentic, it lines up with what we’ve seen on previous dummy units and the actor’s track record is commendable. A source allegedly within Apple has said that Lin’s unit is indeed the real deal, offering up additional info as well.
Apple has allegedly shipped iPhone 6 beta phones to various facilities around the world (each model with a slight variance from others, which is why we haven’t seen live units leak quite yet).
The same Apple source who brings us the above information tells us that the iPhone 6 will feature a Quad HD (2K) resolution. While we aren’t entirely certain of the credibility of the source (and we don’t know which of the rumored 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch models this is referring to), it is indeed a possibility.
QHD technology certainly satisfies a craving for pixels, but can also impact battery life significantly. Would you be interested in a QHD iPhone 6? Sound off in the comments down below.
