During CES this year, Alcatel unveiled the One Touch Idol X+, destined for China and other non-US markets. US availability details were scarce at the time, pictures and other information sent in to Android Central have us thinking that a U.S. launch on AT&T could be imminent.
For those of you who are just hearing about the phone (and we don’t blame you), it features high-end specs such as a 2 GHz octa-core CPU, and a 1080p 5-inch display. It initally launched with Android 4.2, Jelly Bean, but this AT&T version reportedly rocks Android 4.4.2, KitKat.
Some other points of interest include the fact that LTE support is allegedly not present on the AT&T unit, and that microSD storage expansion capabilities are to be found. The AT&T unit also came with JBL headphones bundled in.
We’re unsure about pricing and availability, though it’s likely that it will be fairly cheap and available soon. For more shots of the device, be sure to check out the source link.
