Apple’s WWDC is probably one of the company’s most important events. We already know that the event will bring us Apple’s new mobile operating system, iOS 8, and we also know that a new version of OS X is in the works, which might also bring some mobile functionality to compete with Windows 8.1. We also know that there will be hardware at this event, but it’s hard to predict if these will be iterative updates, or hot new stuff. We assume this should be the show floor for the iWatch, since iOS 8’s main feature, HealthBook is pointless without a wearable to track you.

Apple has been kind enough to live-stream today’s event, which is happening today, Monday, June 2nd, 10:00 AM Pacific, 1:00 PM Eastern. More details on your requirements to be able to watch are found in our earlier post. Once the event is done, please our Editorial Roundtable as we give you our first impressions of everything that happened at WWDC 2014.

You can tune in to watch us comment on news in real time, as usual, in a live, public (but closed) hangout today, at 3:30 PM Eastern. This post will be updated with our hangout once we go live.
