WhatsApp returns to the Windows Phone Store with new features

WhatsApp has been missing from the Windows Phone Store for almost two weeks, as the application got unpublished due to some users having difficulties in fully utilizing the offering. Yesterday, Joe Belfiore reassured everyone that the app would be back soon, as they were working on a fix, and that’s exactly what happened.

Not only WhatsApp returns to the Windows Phone Store, but it does so with a new version, that brings some features (present on other platform clients though) to the table. In version 2.11.490 you’ll find chat backgrounds, broadcast lists, privacy settings, media auto-download settings, custom notification tones as well as various enhancements and bug fixes.
