T-Mobile Uncarrier 5.0 event to take place next month
T-Mobile has recently made bold moves in the wireless industry with its “Uncarrier” changes to the norm — it has picked apart consumer pain points and tried to address them, in hopes of gaining customers. Their latest moves are set to be unveiled at an event in June, and though we haven’t a clue as to what to expect from the event, we are looking forward to it.
Previous invites to T-Mobile events have hinted at what would be unveiled, but “We don’t play it safe and sound” doesn’t quite hit us immediately. Of course, we can spin it in many directions; sound could refer to call quality, or the invite could be an entirely-random illusion to the song by the same name.
At the first Uncarrier event, T-Mobile introduced JUMP! to allow users to upgrade their phones more often. Then it was on to paying early termination fees for customers who jumped ship from other carriers. For their third move, the company began offering users free tablet data for life. Finally, at the last event we witnessed, free international data was added to some T-Mobile plans. These have all been fairly significant changes to how the wireless industry works, and we’re excited to see where this all will go next.
The event will be held in Los Angeles, California, on June 18, as noted in the invite above.
