Microsoft acknowledges the Surface Pro 3 battery issue, fix coming soon

Microsoft’s launch of the Surface Pro 3 has been met with a ton of praise. Many of us still debate some of the price points, but that doesn’t change the fact that the company heard and acted on all the feedback of the previous two Surface Pro models and brought us an elegant solution that’s worth the money. Still, there are reports of some odd issues with the review prototypes that have been issued.

Microsoft has just acknowledged that there are batter issues with certain Surface Pro 3 models, and that it will issue a software update to fix the problem. The complaints mention that the tablet won’t wake-up after being fully discharged, even after some time of being plugged to the wall. The issue is apparently not common to everyone though, and this software update should arrive before the retail units hit store shelves.

We still haven’t heard any numbers on how pre-orders are going for Microsoft’s new professional tablet, but if we judged a book by its cover, we do expect this product to receive the glory it deserves. Expect our full review very soon.
