Our opinions related to the Padfone concept have been divided here on Pocketnow. However, if you often find yourself switching from your phone to your tablet, and vice versa, AT&T’s got you covered with the ASUS Padfone X. Sales start next Friday, June 6, both online, and in retail stores, so, if this is something you might be interested in, check out our ASUS Padfone X unboxing below.
There’s both a tablet — which is not a real tablet, per se — and a phone in the box, alongside the usual accessories, like bundled headphones (yay!), charger, and USB cable. For those interested in specs, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, and comes with 16GB of internal storage (with optional microSD expansion). There’s a five-inch 1080p display, as well as a 13-megapixel main camera. Once you dock the phone into the tablet, you’ll bump the screen size to nine-inches, and the resolution to 1920 x 1200 pixels. There’s also an embedded battery for charging your phone, while docked, but more on that in our full coverage. Until then, we’ll leave you with the ASUS Padfone X unboxing video.
