Best Buy gets a minor exclusive with pre-orders of the Surface Pro 3

Microsoft might have just scored a positive hit with its announcement of the Surface Pro 3. Obviously we still have to wait for the product to be available to the rest of the public, but that doesn’t mean that it hasn’t landed a ton of praise from all of us in the tech media. If you’re interested in getting yourself Microsoft’s new stab at what a pro-tablet should be, you might want to consider Best Buy as an option.

Best Buy has now launched pre-orders for the Surface Pro 3, and well, you won’t be getting any discounts, but if you’re in the market for the dark blue type cover, at the moment it’s a Best Buy exclusive. Internationally this same type cover is available to all, but in the US, you can only get it at Best Buy for an undisclosed period of time. Now, we’re not saying that you’re getting it for free, as the advertisement kind of makes it seem, you will have to pay for it along with your Surface.

At the moment the retail prices are the same as you’ll find on the Microsoft Store, though only the 128GB and 256GB i5 models will ship on June 20th. If you’re interested in any other variant, you’ll have to wait until August 31st, for reasons not disclosed.
