The HTC Desire, as a family of products, contains smartphones varying from lower-end to mid-rangers, for quite some time now. We’ve heard HTC’s Chief Financial Officer, Chialin Chang, talk about the company’s increased focus on mid-rangers in 2014, and these two leaked today might be just part of that new strategy.
The HTC leak, however, talks about “entry-level, Desire-class” devices when dropping the A1 and V2 codenames. Chialin Chang also said that the new focus doesn’t mean that HTC will start producing, or pushing devices for the “very, very low-end market”. Whatever the truth, @evleaks is certain that the A1 and V2 from today’s HTC leaks are two low-end phones already in development. That, however, is all that has been shared.
