Pink HTC One M8 seemingly shows its face

Yesterday we shared with you some pics supposed to be of the upcoming HTC One mini 2, highlighting a few possibilities for the phone’s color options. There was that render showing off three shades that matched the One M8’s own selections, and then that pic of actual hardware that seemed to reveal colored accents. We’re still waiting to get to the bottom of the One mini 2’s story, but that one’s not the only HTC Android that we’ve been thinking about color selections for; last week, a new rumor claimed that the One M8 itself would not only emerge in red and blue varieties, just like its predecessor, but would come in a new pink shade, as well. Now we get our first chance to see how this phone might look, with the leak of a render claiming to reveal just such a pink M8.

Well… it’s pink, all right. Somewhat of a restrained, pastel shade, maybe even leaning towards mauve, but pink nonetheless.

What might HTC be planning so far as the release of this model goes – not to mention those red and blue options? Well, that’s a good question, and there’s no immediately obvious answer. We’d love to believe that the company may reveal these new variants quite soon, but we can’t ignore just how long it took the extra One M7 color options to arrive last year. That could mean waiting until IFA, but we’re hopeful we’ll see them a lot earlier.
