A revamped Spotify application is rolling out to Android users starting today. It is completely in line with what Spotify announced at the beginning of the month, when the company has introduced its new UI, much darker, but overall better looking. Now the company that is about to surpass Apple’s iTunes in terms of revenue in Europe is pushing the refresh to Google-powered devices as well.
Expect a “darker theme, refreshed typography and rounded iconography”, alongside features that improve playlists, as well as the browsing and discovery experience. If you haven’t received the updated application yet, don’t worry, the roll-out process should be happening in stages, with all Android users getting it in the coming weeks.
