Even though most of us were skeptical about the future of the Nokia Lumia line-up, given the lack of Lumia announcements all year, the company did a great job in putting our concerns to rest today with the announcement of the Lumia 930, Lumia 630 and Lumia 635. The good thing is that these aren’t the only Nokia Lumia devices that have been rumored in the last couple of weeks, and some new information that leaked today spills the beans on another Lumia flagship.
We’re talking about the Nokia Lumia 1820 that we heard about just a couple of weeks ago. We were expecting to see something about this device today, but some new rumors prove that it would be too early for this device to be launched. First of all, 1080p displays on Windows Phone devices is still a rarity, and the Nokia Lumia 1820 is being rumored with a 5.2-inch QHD display. The report also claims that this device will be powered by the new Snapdragon 805 processor mixed with the Adreno 420 GPU, which you currently won’t find in the Android smartphone market as well. This could be the reason why the device is being codenamed the Qualcomm LiQUID.
It’s hard to tell if we should wait until the fall for the Lumia 1820, but if you’re waiting for the most powerful Windows Phone of 2014, this is most likely it.
