Last summer, we saw Pebble take the success it found with direct sales of its smartwatches online and transition that over to the brick-and-mortar retail world, bringing the first-gen Pebble smartwatch to Best Buy stores. At first, only the black option was available, but we soon saw that joined by red. Fast-forward to 2014, and Pebble Steel may be the new hotness, but its very limited availability means that the classic Pebble design may be the smarter choice for users who don’t want to wait. Today we learn of the latest way to get your hands on a Pebble as quickly and easily as possible, with sales of the smartwatch coming to Target.
Not only will Target be carrying those black and red Pebble models, but Target is going to be the first retailer to offer the white Pebble in its stores. From the sound of things, the white model will be available from other stores eventually, but Target is set to enjoy a limited period of exclusivity.
All three colors will run you just about $150 and support all the apps available from the Pebble app stores, accessible through the companion iOS and Android software.
