As we reported yesterday, the rumors of what to expect for iOS 8 are already strong. We’ve already heard that Apple will be focusing heavily on improving the experience of Maps for its new mobile operating system, and we even heard that iTunes Radio is also getting some usability tweaks as well. Today we get more leaks that we’re still trying to believe, but that hint to the evolution of iOS into additional areas like fitness.
Today we get the first screenshots of what to expect for iOS 8. These hint to Apple bringing us a new service called Health Book, which looks dramatically similar, if not identical to the old Passbook that not many people use from iOS 6. We also see the inclusion of some old Mac services like Preview and TextEdit as well. These two are the ones that don’t ring a bell the most though, as the icons are either a bad Photoshop job of the icons that already exist on the Mac, or have simply not found an iOS 7-styled icon to represent them yet. Whatever the case may be, the source claims these services to be real, and to be something we’ll see in June at WWDC.
We’ll keep you posted as more rumors develop, since at this point, everything is a work in progress.
