Even though LG has done a fantastic job in differentiating its technology from competitors, the company hasn’t always been famous for its originality. We remember how the LG G Pro looked and felt almost exactly like a Galaxy Note 2 back in the day. 2013 and 2014 have shown us an LG that’s willing to be original with products like the LG G2 and LG G Flex, but I won’t lie that many of us were waiting to learn more about the LG G3 after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, and yes, there will be similarities.
New rumors have begun of the LG G3 sharing the Galaxy S5’s water and dust-proof capabilities, even though its designs might retain substantial differences. Samsung definitely doesn’t own the ability to give us waterproof phones, and we had to name the company that started doing this in a sexy way, we’d have to give Sony the credits. Still, we knew that the enhancements of the GS5 would make the G3 predictable, and that has proven to be the case one again.
We still have no word on when to expect the LG G3, but it should only be a matter of time. It’s just too bad that Samsung can’t do the same with LG and give us the amazing battery life of the G2 on its Galaxy line-up.
