Lenovo MWC 2014 overview (Video)


For the longest time, Lenovo stayed back on the outskirts of our regular smartphone coverage. Sure, we’d learn about a new device or two every now and then, but with no carriers in the US selling Lenovo handsets, it was difficult to follow the company with much passion; post-launch, we rarely heard another word about most of these devices. But now all of a sudden with this Motorola purchase, we’re looking at Lenovo in a very different light, and no matter what the company might have been up to in years past, it’s about to become a much more serious player on the global smartphone stage. As such, we felt it important to check out Lenovo’s MWC presence this year.

Not everything on display there is necessarily up our alley, but with new smartphones as well as tablets, there was still plenty to see. We briefly take you through the new products Lenovo brought along, hitting the important notes you’ll want to know about. While we don’t have time to get too in-depth with any one device on this pass, you should still get a good overview of what the company’s been working on.
