With how long it took BlackBerry to wake-up and share BBM to other platforms, we know many of you moved-on and solved your messaging needs with other well-established options. Still, if you’ve decided to give BBM a chance lately, you’ll notice that BlackBerry has done a good job for the most part, even though BlackBerry-phone users had better luck when it came to features until today.
BlackBerry has just announced BBM 2.0 for iOS and Android, and even though it hasn’t reached the Google Play or App Stores yet for us to test, it claims to give you the full BlackBerry-exclusive experience to your platform of choice. This experience includes BBM Voice, Channels, Location Sharing, and additional features like Dropbox integration as well.
The app should be available today, and we do hope it doesn’t include a waiting list like the one we saw on its official release. Make sure you watch the following video for more details on what to expect.
