The 2014 HTC One has recently leaked in a picture showing off some pretty 2013 One-like looks. It also seemed to have rounder corners, and a taller form factor, more in the vein of the HTC One Mini. However, just like with the case of the alleged back leak, we’re seeing something different on the front today. If previously we’ve seen several leaks claiming to be the real back of the 2014 HTC One, they all differed, and mainly through the positioning of the dual LED flashes (either adjacent to each other, or separated).
Now something similar is going on on the front too: the previous image showed sensors close to each other on the right side, next to the webcam (and on the opposite side than on the 2013 One), while the image above seems to show them off in a separate placement. The phone above also seems to have more squared off edges and pretty much follow the same outline as the HTC One from last year. We might be looking at different stages of development for the phone, or maybe different prototypes (or different fake images).
One important thing to note is that most commenters complained about the placement of the HTC logo, and the larger lower bezels. Now, just as if someone was listening, the phone above shows no HTC branding on the bottom, and a smaller bezel, with the screen going all the way to the top and bottom speakers. How do you like this?
Of course, as with every “leaked” image, please treat this accordingly, and with a solid dose of skepticism, as we can’t verify the source of the still.
